Sometimes web developers use IP address blocks or range to handle traffic coming from that IP range (IP block), also ip range is used when we want to block robots from accessing websites & lots more uses.i am unable to understand one thing, i was seeing info about IPs here and i read something like '103.246.150.0/23 has 512 ip addresses',ok but what '/23' means in '103.246.150.0/23'? In past whenever i read something like '103.246.150.0/23' i just thought it means 23 IP addresses like 103.246.150.0, 103.246.150.1, 103.246.150.2. But it is not true, it contains 512 IPs, read here,then what '/23' means?And facebook provide range of IPs to handle their bots, for example31.13.24.0/2166.220.144.0/20so what are above IPs, how many IPs?
